About the taj mahal
A white marble mausoleum housing the tombs of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (1592–1666) and his third wife Mumtaz Mahal (1593–1631) is part of the Taj Mahal, an integrated complex of buildings. The Taj Mahal is unquestionably the finest mausoleum that the Mughal dynasty erected on the Indian subcontinent. The mausoleum is entirely made of white marble and stands on a high plinth with four tall minarets, one on each corner. On either side of the tomb are a mosque and a guest house, while the tomb faces a garden laid out in the “charbagh” style, with a central walkway with fountains and viewing platforms with green spaces and trees on either side. The entrance to the complex is through a grand ornamental gateway, inscribed with Quranic inscriptions and the calligraphed line “Soul, you are at peace. Make peace with the Lord when you return, and the Lord will make peace with you.
Jaipur
Jaipur, which is located in the state of Rajasthan, is a popular travel destination that draws tourists from all over the world. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II established the city on November 18, 1727. Jaipur has a long history, a vibrant culture, and stunning natural scenery. The city was founded in 1727. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, a Kachwaha Rajput who ruled Jaipur from 1699 to 1743, is credited with founding the city. The king moved the capital from Amber, which was 11 kilometers away, to Jaipur due to the city’s growing population and water shortage. Jaipur is thought to be the nation’s first planned city. To construct Jaipur, the king enlisted Vidyadhar Bhattacharya’s assistance. Bhattacharya was a Bengali Brahmin scholar who was proficient in both science and mathematics. The Prince of Wales first visited Pink City in 1878, which is when the name first appeared. The city was painted pink to welcome the prince, earning it the nickname “Pink City.”
