The battery-starting instructions

If your battery has died, you might be able to jump start it using jumper cables thanks to some helpful car advice. Some automobiles have a battery in the trunk. If unsure, consult your car’s manual to find the battery’s location.

Turn off all electric devices, such as lights and sound.

Open the cap after shutting off the motor.

Connect your car’s battery’s positive (+) terminal to the main jumper link.

Remove the under-hood interconnect box cover.

Connect the other end of the main jumper link to the support battery positive (+) terminal.

As a kind of workaround, use a 12 volt support battery. Use a charging voltage lower than 15 volts when using the car battery charger to support your 12-volt battery.

Connect the second jumper link to the negative (-) terminal of the sponsor battery.

Connect the stud rush that appeared to the other end of the second jumper link. Don’t try to connect this jumper link to another component.

Start the motor of the helping vehicle and slightly increase motor upheaval if the jumper link is connected to another vehicle.

Make an effort to start the engine of your car. Check that the jumper links have excellent metal-to-metal contact on the off chance that it turns over gradually.


If the proper procedures are not followed, a battery could explode, seriously harming anyone nearby.

Keep everything that sparkles, burns, or contains tobacco away from the battery.

The electrolyte inside a battery may solidify if it is left in extremely cold temperatures.

Trying to start with a solid battery can cause it to break.

To prevent them from falling off when the motor vibrates, securely connect the jumper links cuts.

Be careful not to tangle the jumper links or allow the link closures to come into contact with one another while attaching or separating the jumper link.

Battery performance deteriorates in cool environments and may prevent the motor from starting.

You should check the following items to avoid being scammed.

1. Work order / Job sheet

Regardless of the station you bring your car to for service, it is standard procedure to prepare a job sheet. The service advisor and the mechanic can communicate with each other using the sheet. In order to make sure that all issues have been addressed and the necessary corrections have been made, check the car and the delivery sheet as soon as it has returned from the shop where you had your car serviced.

2. Itemised bill

After you have your car serviced, a detailed bill is always prepared. Verify that it contains the item’s price, which you were roughly given by the service advisor. Keep an eye out to ensure that you aren’t being charged for a replacement in the event that the engine oil needs to be topped off. Errors can occur due to humans or machines. It is better to exercise caution.

​3. Engine oil / Transmission oil

Your car’s engine is its beating heart, and to keep it running smoothly, it needs both an oil and filter change. The same is true for transmission, even though it typically lacks a filter. Watch the color before and after getting the engine oil changed, depending on the time. Fresh oil would be cleaner and lighter in color.

4. Coolant / Brake fluid

After a few thousand miles, it’s crucial to replace the engine coolant because over time, it starts to lose its properties. You might also need to replace or refill the brake fluid, depending on the advice of the automobile manufacturer. While there is no way to know if this has been done or not unless you witness it happening. Staying in the observation area or taking it to a gas station where you can watch it happen is preferable.

​5. Belongings / Tool kit / Boot

It is advised that you remove the tool kit and other personal items from the car before bringing it in for service to be on the safe side. If it’s not possible, you can ask the service advisor to note this on the job sheet so that it doesn’t get lost while being fixed. Make sure the spare wheel and other accessories are intact when accepting the delivery as well.
